James 4:7
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and
he will flee from you."
1 Peter 5:5,6
"Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves
to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one
another, and be clothed with humility, for 'God resists
the proud, But gives grace to the humble.' "
Ephesians 5:21-25,28
"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the
Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also
Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior
of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject
to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands
in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ
also loved the church and gave Himself for her"
1 Peter
3:1-4
"Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands,
that even if some do not obey the word, they, without
a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when
they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging
the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather
let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the
incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is very precious in the sight of God."
Ephesians
6:5-9
"Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your
masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling,
in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice,
as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing
the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing
service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that
whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same
from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. And you,
masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening,
knowing that your own Master also[a] is in heaven,
and there is no partiality with Him."
Ephesians 6:1-4
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for
this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which
is the first commandment with promise: 'that it may
be well with you and you may live long on the earth.'
And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath,
but bring them up in the training and admonition of
the Lord."
